Don Pepin Garcia Cigars represent the roots of the García family’s modern cigar-making legacy. Created by renowned Cuban-born master cigar maker José “Pepin” García, the brand combines traditional Cuban cigar-making techniques with carefully selected tobaccos and the bold character that has become synonymous with the García family.
José Pepin García began working with tobacco in Cuba at an early age and developed his craft over decades before establishing El Rey de los Habanos in Miami in 2003 with his son Jaime and daughter Janny. Those early Don Pepin Garcia blends helped establish the reputation that would eventually grow into today’s My Father Cigars operation, with production extending from Miami to the family’s major cigar-making facilities and tobacco operations in Nicaragua.
At the center of the collection is the celebrated Don Pepin Garcia Original, commonly known as the Blue Label. Made entirely with Nicaraguan tobacco and finished with a Habano Rosado wrapper, it delivers the robust combination of pepper, leather, and cedar that became an important signature of Pepin Garcia’s blending style. My Father describes the Original as the inspiration behind the development of its other Don Pepin lines.
